Letter to Mr. Karl Rove, Senior Advisor to President Bush PDF Print E-mail

June 12, 2004

To: Mr. Karl Rove, Senior Advisor to President Bush, White House, WW 2" Floor, Washington From: M. Khaliq Qureshi, 1317 Shamrock Lane, Plano, TX 75093. Res. Tel: (972) 380-5106

Dear Mr. Rove,

Greetings. May God bless you, your family and The United States of America, Amen. You may recall that we first met on June 7, 1999, at the Reception held to thank supporters of President Bush; and also on June 22, 2001 in the White House Briefing Room. At the Reception, I commended on your brilliance to successfully run the election campaigns of many politicians, especially Governor Bush; and that if your current efforts succeed to elect President Bush, then, it would be the crowning achievement of your career. Indeed that happened, and you became the senior advisor to President Bush, the most powerful man on earth. This means you have awesome power, influence and opportunity to do enormous good for humanity. Most people seek political power to gain fame and material things, but the sole advantage of power should be to do more good for others-like the less fortunate and those suffering under occupation, as in Chechnya, Kashmir and Palestine-because things gained, are gone but great things done, endure.

Dear Mr. Rove, it is an election year and your energies are focused to re-elect President Bush, and to achieve that you need votes. In the last four years, the President has given Mr. Sharon all possible support, but George Soros, a powerful American Jew., says that he plans to defeat President Bush in the election. This means you are not sure how many Jewish votes you can get. President Bush can easily win a second term, if he receives majority of the votes from the Jewish, Muslim and Hindu communities., This can happen only if the President uses his moral authority to peacefully end the bloody conflicts in Chechnya, Kashmir and Palestine, because people of these countries have suffered enough due to the state and individual terrorism, and they are fed up with the bloodshed and the cycle of violence. The question is, will the President show some compassion for the victims? You may know that the armed forces of Russia, India and Israel, are committing terrible crimes against defenseless people of Chechnya, Kashmir and Palestine, but the world is silently watching the atrocities and is not responding to the cries of suffering mothers and families. The leadership of Russia, India and Israel do not allow reporters to go inside the conflict areas to record criminal activities of their soldiers. In Chechnya and Kashmir, thousands of women have been raped to humiliate Muslims and thousands of men, women and children killed, but the oppressors are unable to crush the freedom spirit of the victims. A freed Palestinian woman, who spent nine years in Israeli detention, says that more than fifteen fellow women were raped and photographed for blackmail by the Israeli guards. In addition, Israelis are engaged in assassination of Palestinian leaders, confiscating Palestinian lands, building a Security Fence, etc. If President Bush believes that freedom is God's gift to every person who lives in this earth, then he should help the Chechens, Kashmir and Palestinians to achieve their freedoms and end their suffering through the implementation of United Nations Resolutions in the case of Palestine and Kashmir; and through personal dialogue with Mr. Putin in regard to Chechnya. President Bush has fought three wars against Taliban, Iraq and Terrorism. If he doesn't win the 2 nd term, then he has the power for four months. To avail this window of opportunity, can Mr. Rove persuade President Bush to work now for Peace in the world, and may be he can win the Noble Peace Prize? Karl, will you do that?
