Letter to Pakistani Ambassador 286 PDF Print E-mail

Her Excellency, Dr. Maleeha Lodhi,
The Ambassador of Pakistan,
Embassy of Pakistan,
2315 Massachusetts Avenue, N.W.
Washington, DC 20008.

Your Excellency,

Assalamo-Alaikum. May Allah always bless you, your family, Pakistan and our Ummah.

Enclosed for your reading pleasure and information is the latest example of my humble efforts on behalf of the suffering Muslims in Palestine, Kashmir, and Chechnya. In accordance with your wishes - as expressed in your letter dated March 15, 2,000, stating "I am confident that you will continue these earnest endeavors in the future with similar spirit and energy" - I am trying to do my part and I hope you will continue to pray for the success of my ONE-MAN MISSION FOR MUSLIM UNITY. Thank you very much for your encouraging words.

In spite of the many efforts by various individuals and organizations, there appears to be no end in sight to the suffering of Palestinians, Kashmiris and Chechens. There are fifty million refugees in the world and thirty five million of them are Muslims. These people are trapped in very oppressive and tragic conditions, but we are unable to help them because we are powerless. All of these situations are the results of human rights violations but our leadership cannot articulate the suffering of our people in the world forums. The main reason for this misery and tragedy is that we are not united and there is no Muslim leader or a group of leaders who are willing or can be persuaded to lead us to unity.  The Muslim world is desperately looking for a dynamic leader, such as Jamaluddin Afghani, who can dispel the gloom and bring about the unity and a universal awakening throughout the world of Islam. I still have great hope that one day Pakistan will produce a leader, like Quaid-e-Azam, who will unite and guide the Muslim world to a place of power, honor and dignity. Warm regards.
