Letter to Gen. Musharraf PDF Print E-mail

October 10, 2000

His Excellency, General Pervez Musharraf,
Chief Executive - Islamic Republic of Pakistan,
Islamabad, Pakistan.

Subject: Meeting request with the
Chief Executive to discuss the subject of Muslim Unity

Dear General Musharraf,

Assalamo-Alaikum. May Allah's blessings be always with you, your family and Pakistan. Ameen. First of all, I take this opportunity to put on record my sincere appreciation and thanks to you and your team for the honesty with which you are trying to clean the mess created in Pakistan by some of the previous grossly corrupt and crooked rulers, particularly Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto. Most of those who criticize you in the country have selfish motives, and the foreigners who criticize you are the ill-wishers of Pakistan. So, don't worry about them and continue your devotional efforts for a better Pakistan because the future generations of Pakistanis will be grateful to you. Also, your reward is safe with Allah.

Last year in October/November, I made a trip to Pakistan for the main purpose to have a meeting with you in Islamabad concerning my ONE-MAN MISSION FOR MUSLIM UNITY. At the time I made arrangements to deliver to you copies of my appeal letters concerning the MISSION through several sources, including the Pakistan Embassy in Washington; and in Islamabad to the office of Brigadier Nadim Taj through Col. Ajab Khan (Deputy Military Secretary), and Sq. Leader Waqar (ADC to the Chief Executive), and through Ms. Zubaida Jalal (Federal Education Minister) who promised to personally deliver the letters to you. In order to refresh your memory and for your information and easy reference, I enclose copies of some key letters, particularly those related to Pakistan and its leaders, and Kashmir.

During my last year's trip to Pakistan, I stayed in Islamabad for one week for the specific purpose of arranging a meeting with you. At that time, I visited many offices and waited many hours, went through many security checks, had several telephone conversations with many of your staff members but all of my sincere efforts to meet you proved fruitless. I even took part in a PTV program " Current Affairs " and during the taping expressed a desire to meet you but none of my approaches were successful. In this trip, I will arrive in Pakistan on October 14th, and will stay in Sialkot from October 20th till November 2nd. My contact / phone number in Sialkot ( village Chitti Sheikhan ) will be as follows :
Mohammad Ishaq  /  (432) - 263 - 998

This time, I plan to stay in Sialkot and wait for a telephone call from one of your staff members. I will be grateful if  you could kindly instruct someone to call me at the above-mentioned phone number to let me know the place, the date and the time of our meeting in Islamabad / Rawalpindi. I know that the meeting will take place only if it is the will of ALLAH. I am one of your great admirers and I seek the meeting not for any personal gain but simply to discuss the subject of Muslim Unity and how to reduce the suffering of our peoples around the world. The meeting will benefit the cause of Pakistan. Thanks and warm regards.
