Dr. M. A. Cheema,
13155 Gremoor Dr.
Elm Grove, WI 53122.

Dear Dr. Cheema,

Assalamo-Alaikum. May Allah bless you, your family and our Ummah. Ameen. Thank you very much for your letter dated October 6, 1999, It was nice to read your views on my ONE-MAN MISSION FOR MUSLIM UNITY. I agree with lqbal that it is better to be in a group than alone, but I am an exception. Your sincere suggestion and advice shows your interest in my efforts for the Muslim causes. You are not the only one who has asked me to join and open a chapter of AMC in Dallas. There are others, such as Dr. Agha Saeed and Mr. Nihad Awad, who have been after me for the same purpose. Dr. Sayyid M, Syeed and Dr. Israr Ahmed wanted me to move to Plainfield and Pakistan to be a part of the team in their organization's headquarters. Some others, like Dr. Muzammal H. Siddiqi, want me to continue my Mission according to my plans. It is a great honor that so many top leaders of our Muslim Organizations are interested in my work. Although I am a paid member of many of the Muslim Organizations in north America, however, my answer to all their leaders has been the same, that is, I am unable to take any additional responsibility because in 1995 1 made a promise to myself that I will remain focused on my ONE-MAN MISSION FOR MUSLIM UNITY, till such time that a Muslim leader comes forward, either voluntarily or through our appeal letters, to lead the Muslim world toward UNITY. A leader who has reached a high position - such as the President or Prime-Minister of a country - always has certain intelligence and quality, so it will be insulting to tell him to do this or that; but there is no harm to appeal to him to accept the leadership role. My appeal letters are designed to raise the consciousness level of the leader about the need for MUSLIM UNITY, but he will do it only if it comes from his heart or soul. In the final analysis, things will happen only if that is the WILL OF ALLAH. We can only try and that is what I am doing with great passion. The success or failure of THE MISSION is not my concern. One often thinks about the purpose of his creation. As Iqbal wished, it appears I have found my niche, mokam or destiny.

You may have noted from my appeal letters sent to you earlier that I have directed my letter-writing campaign simultaneously on several fronts as follows : I)Presidents, Prime-Ministers, Kings or Heads of the 54 Muslim countries. 2) The White House - President and First Lady. 3) The elites, professionals and leaders of Muslim organizations in USA and Canada. 4) Political leaders of the non-Muslim world.

You have stated " I have not heard of any success that you might have had in this quest." Everyone has a different view of success. A person who does his best to pursue his mission/dream with a plan works hard persistently consistently and never gives up will eventually succeed. Enclosed are a few letters that contain some examples of direct as well as indirect successes achieved so far in the campaign, I leave it up to you to detect , judge and figure out those small successes. To help you solve the puzzle, I have high-lighted some key lines/points in the letters. For you - a man of great intelligence - it should be an easy task to figure out those successes. Praise be to Allah that all the successes are due to Him. I cannot find adequate words to thank Allah that He gave me the opportunity and the blessings to focus my life on MUSLIM UNITY, an issue of great importance for our Ummah. Thank you once again, and warm regards.
