Letter to Hillary Clinton to run for Senate seat in New York PDF Print E-mail
June 22, 1999
The First Lady, Hillary Rodham Clinton,
The White House,
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.,
Washington, DC 20500.

Subject: Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York?

Dear First Lady,

May God's blessing be always with the First Family and the United States of America. Amen.

A large majority of Americans must be delighted to know that the First Lady appears close to launching her own political career by running for a New York Senate seat to be vacated by Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan in the year 2000. New York is perceived to be the center of the universe and has long been. known as a melting pot where peoples from almost every country and race in the world have settled and adopted a common American culture. So, New York represents both a miniature America and the world in one place. It has been said' if you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere,' and I believe that, by the Grace of God Almighty, New York will be good to you and you will be its first woman Senator.

Dear First Lady, you have often told President Clinton that we should take a day at a time.' Time is one of the creations of God, of winch everyone knows something but no one can fully explain its exact significance. Time is always in favor of those who have Faith, do righteous deeds, fight for Fairness and Justice for others, and know how to Wait, in Patience and Constancy. So, please have Faith, go ahead and follow your heart and mind in the pursuit of your dream to be a Senator. It is the perfect time and New York is the perfect place to begin a new chapter of your life-long public service. The race for the Senate will be tough and full of pitfalls but I am sure you can handle it with grace and ease. Your likely opponent in the race will be Mayor Rudolph Giuliani who has already thrown his best but cheap shot by criticizing you for saying last year that creating a Palestinian State was  very important for the broader goal of peace in the Middle East." God knows it was an honest and a fair view-point. Many Israelis, including Abba Eban, Shimon Peres and others have expressed similar views before your statement. In view of the election of Ehud Barak in Israel, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has also recently dropped their objection to a. Palestinian State. However, it will be better if you could have a heart to heart talk with AIPAC and other Jewish leaders, both in Israel and America, and tell them that it is in the best long-range interest of the Jewish State and Israelis to show some fairness and compassion to the suffering of Palestinians. I am sure they will listen to your human appeal and fully support you. Recent polls indicate that all major minorities (Afro-American, Chinese, Mexican, Muslims will vote for you. Senator Robert Torricelli knows that it was the Muslim bloc votes that made the winning difference in his election in 1996.

I am absolutely convinced that God has tremendously blessed you and President Clinton and He is going to accomplish through your efforts a lot of good things for others, such as President's historic leadership of NATO to win the war in Kosova. You are aware that a few years ago I had published a letter in the Dallas Morning News stating that the First Lady is the most qualified person to be the first woman President of the United States of America. I wish that you were running in the presidential election in the year 2000, but now that you have made a sort of commitment to support the vice-president, Al Gore, I hope that you will keep your option open to enter the Presidential race in the year 2004 or beyond. Thanks and warm regards.
