Dear friends,

Assalamo-Alaikum. May Allah always bless you and your families. Ameen. The top leaders of the AMC, AMA, CAIR, MPAC, NCIA and CAUCUS will assemble in the Dallas Fort Worth area on March 21-22 to attend meetings of the coalition of American Muslim Political Organizations and the second anniversary of AMA's DFW Chapter. For quite sometime, I have been writing to you  to unite and work closely to set an example for Muslim Unity in north America. Therefore, I am delighted to know that the leaders are finally coming closer together and are having meetings in different cities to discuss the Muslim political agenda. Thanks, congratulations and good luck.

I am sure each and everyone of us is concerned about what is happening in the Muslim world. In the last fifty years, we have seen how our Muslim brothers and sisters have suffered and still continue to suffer in Palestine, Kashmir, Afganistan, Iran and Iraq, Bosnia, Chechnia, Algeria, Khurdistan, etc. It has been the cumulative effect of these human sufferings that motivated me to become personally involved and find ways to end or eliminate these tragedies. I concluded that we can end human suffering if a leader (or a group of leaders) is willing or can be persuaded to accept the leadership and unite the Muslim world into ONE VOICE. Consequently in 1995, I launched my one-man mission for MUSLIM UNITY- an ordinary man trying to do an extraordinary thing. Enclosed is a copy of some of my appeal letters that will give you a glimpse of my activities on the mission. At present, I am trying to focus on the tragedy of Palestine because the solution of this problem can end the suffering of so many human-beings in the Middle East countries. It is a tragedy that Israelis in Palestine and Indians in Kashmir are getting away with open murder and we are unable to mount any consistent campaign on these clear-cut moral issues. What a shame.

Unless we unite, the Muslim tragedies will continue to accumulate and so will be our frustrations. In my appeal letter dated January 10, 1997 (concerning Dr. Mahathir Mohamad) I had stated that " The present situation in Bosnia and Serbia may only be in a temporary state of suspension because the Serbian thug, Slobodan Milosevic, the man who started all the trouble, and his gang of ethnic cleansers, are still free to act in Bosnia or in Serbian controlled areas of Sanjak and Kosova." In the last few days in central Kosovo, the Serbian occupation forces have brutally slaughtered 88 Albanian Muslims - at least 25 of them small children and women - in the village of Prekaz, thus adding to a long list of Muslim tragedies. Please let us get united and use smart and peaceful methods to help end such tragedies. We, the Muslims in north America, can do it.
